Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union Continues Multi-Year Growth Trajectory, Surpasses $100 Million in Assets

MC EFCU Attributes Growth to Increased Efforts to Make Members Aware of Credit Union’s Wide Range of Service Offerings, Expanded Marketing, Mobile and Online Banking Growth

Montgomery County Employees Federal Credit Union (MC EFCU), a Montgomery County, Md.-based full-service financial institution, recently surpassed $100 million in assets, marking a milestone in the credit union’s history.

MC EFCU, which primarily serves Montgomery County government employees, along with members from a variety of other local agencies, has enjoyed substantial growth over the past five years. The credit union’s assets grew 38 percent from June 30, 2009 to June 30, 2014, compared to a 7 percent growth period for the previous five years. MC EFCU attributes its growth primarily to the quality of its staff and their commitment to providing exceptional member service. MC EFCU has also focused on increasing member awareness of the credit union’s broad-based service offerings, improved technology, and the introduction of high quality mobile and online banking services.

“We’re excited to reach such a significant milestone, as it really validates the many efforts we have been making to ensure our members have the best possible range of services and financial products available to them,” said Jim Norris, MC EFCU CEO. “We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and we have plans for the addition of more value-added services, in the months ahead.”
