Protein Bar, ShopHouse Among New Restaurants Coming to Rockville

Federal Realty: Six restaurants signed leases at Pike & Rose development.

Soon, Rockville diners will have more options to choose from.

Several restaurants have signed leases with the work-in-progress Pike & Rose development, the developer Federal Realty Trust announced Wednesday.

Among them is Del Frisco’s Grille, which Patch heard about earlier this month. The Texas-based steakhouse is expected to occupy 7,692 square feet of space at Pike & Rose.

Patch had also heard back in June that ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen was coming to Rockville. ShopHouse is Chipotle’s Asian-themed spinoff.

Here’s what else is coming to the ’Pike:

  • Protein Bar—The Chicago favorite serves healthy foods, heavy on the proteins; will be located on Old Georgetown Road
  • Roti—Fast-casual Mediterranean cuisine; will be located on Old Georgetown Road
  • Lettuce Entertain You—Lettuce will be opening two restaurants at Pike & Rose, testing out a new concepts the East Coast: An artisan pizza place and new American cuisines.
The restaurants are expected to open in fall 2014.

Pike & Rose is a mixed-use development being built at Mid-Pike Plaza. The community will include 1,500 residential units, 450,000 square feet of retail, 1.1 million square feet of office space and a 250,000-square-foot hotel.
