It’s Thursday. The weekend is so close you can almost taste it. Downside? You’ve got no idea what to do during your two days of freedom.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We've picked out some of the best events around Montgomery County for your done-work-outta-here time. Is it 5 p.m. on Friday yet?

Where/When: Seneca Creek Community Church, 13 Firstfield Road, Gaithersburg. Sunday, 9:15 a.m.

Why Go: If you need a shed a few pounds and lack the motivation, or if you're wishing you could get those New Year's resolutions back on track, then be sure to come out to hear Danny Cahill recount his experience as a contestant on Season Eight of NBC's "The Biggest Loser."

Where/When: , 100 Gibbs St., Rockville. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Why Go: Can't make it to New Orleans this year? Don't worry—Rockville Town Square is throwing a Mardi Gras festival a little closer to home! The festivities will be complete with a parade, music, arts and crafts—and even a moon bounce! Laissez les bon temps rouler!

Pricing: The festival is free to attend.

3. 

Where/When: , 12901 Town Commons Drive, Germantown. Saturday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: Bogart's "unique brand of boogie-woogie, jazz-infused blues" is sure to please a wide-range of music lovers.

Pricing: Tickets, $25 to $30.

4. 

Where/When: 20125 Arrowhead Road, Montgomery Village. Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Why Go: According to the event listing, "Artists are encouraged to proudly display their artwork for the community to enjoy at the 37th annual Art, Craft and Photography Show sponsored by Costco. There will be light refreshments available for those who stop by to enjoy the show on Saturday and an Artists Reception for all to enjoy on Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m."

5. 

Where/When: , 10701 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda. Saturday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: If you've been itching for classical musical all week—this is your best bet. Symphonic Explorations, a free concert pre-lecture, will be offered before the show. 

Pricing: Tickets range from $33 to $93.
