The Rockville Town Center California Tortilla is celebrating its latest round of renovations and the return of its original owners by giving away food.

Free burritos will be given out Monday, Jan. 6, between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and between 5 and 7:30 p.m. The first 20 people in line on will win free burritos for a year, a company spokeswoman said in a news release.

California Tortilla, at 199 E. Montgomery Ave., was opened by Bob Daly and Lisa Lakin in 2000. But the owners went away to open a CalTort in Chinatown in 2004.

Now the owners are back in Rockville and they're ready to celebrate—with a new look and some free food, according to the news release.

Though the Rockville CalTort has been renovated, the signature items on menu won't be getting a new look, according to the news release. A spokeswoman said CalTort will be adding a few new menu items.
