Four farm-fresh food options return to Rockville beginning this weekend.

Farmer’s market season returns to Rockville this weekend.

The King Farm Farmers Market opens its season on Friday, at 805 King Farm Blvd. The market  on Fridays only this year. It had been .

“We were unable to find a weekend location satisfactory to the success of the market and the [King Farm Citizens’] Assembly elected officials,” organizers wrote on the market’s Facebook page.

The Rockville Farmers Market returns to Town Center on Saturday. The market will be held 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through Nov. 17 at the corner of E. Jefferson Street (Route 28) and Monroe Street.

The market , bedding plants, preserves, honey herbs and baked goods and will feature fresh-cut flowers for Mother's Day, according to a city news release. Zeke's Coffee and Go Fish are new vendors for 2012.

A second city-sponsored market begins June 6. It will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays through Oct. 31 on East Montgomery Avenue between Maryland Avenue and Monroe Street. Through Aug. 29 the market will feature live music from noon to 1:30 p.m. as part of the “Out to Lunch Wednesdays” concert series. The lineup includes local favorites Mary Ann Redmond and Lloyd Dobler Effect.

The Shady Grove Farmers and Artisans’ Market opens May 30. It will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays through September 26 at the  in Rockville.

The market will offer a “cooked from scratch” breakfast from 7:45 to 10 a.m. The menu features huevos tortillas, eggs and Canadian bacon, French toast egg sandwiches, omelets, sausage, oatmeal and coffee. Cost is $4 to $6.

The market also is offering a $1 coupon for customers who “Like” their Facebook page, and a 10 percent discount on all purchases made between 10 and 11:30 a.m. for AARP members.
