Interfaith Works Empty Bowls 2011 Fundraiser

Interfaith Works Is Fighting Hunger One Bowl At A Time...and you can too!

EMPTY BOWLS is an international project started in 1990 to fight hunger locally. Montgomery County is not immune to hunger - nearly 1/3 of all public school children qualifies to receive free and reduced priced meals at school and is at risk for hunger.

You can be a part of the solution by joining Interfaith Works at our first annual Empty Bowls event this holiday season. We'll share a simple meal of hearty soup and bread prepared and donated by local chefs served in a handmade bowl donated by local artists and students. The bowl is yours to select and keep as a reminder of the many bowls in our community that remain empty.
