Family Fun: Bunnies, Ballet and 'Accidental Reality'

Looking for something exciting to do with the family? Check out some of the fun things going on around Rockville.

Breakfast with Bunny

The bunny is making a special trip to Thomas Farm Community Center. Bring family and friends for a morning of springtime fun with your favorite furry friend. Activities will include D’s Magic Show, crafts, games, an opportunity to meet, greet and pose with the Bunny, and an egg hunt. Pre-registration is required for the continental breakfast.

When: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23

Where: Thomas Farm Community Center, 700 Fallsgrove Dr, Rockville, MD 

Cost:  $10 for city residents; $12 for non residents; $5 fee for 11 a.m. magic show and egg hunt after the show. Fees apply to each person attending.

Maryland Youth Ballet's Spring Concert

Don't miss the annual spring concert featuring three diverse ballets showcasing the versatility of MYB's dancers: classical ballet—La Bayadére, Act II Kingdom of the Shades; contemporary ballet—Empyrean Skies; youthful ballet—Coronation of the Dragonfly Queen.

When: 1 and 5 p.m. Saturday, March 23; 1 p.m. Sunday, March 24

Annual Egg Hunt

Search for real eggs through our meadows, then dye and decorate the eggs you find. Event includes other on-going spring-related activities throughout the day. Fun for the entire family! Reservations are required (we want to be sure we have enough eggs for all!) Egg hunts are scheduled every 30 minutes. Register at ParkPASS.org.

When: 10 a.m. Friday, March 29

Twinbrook Swimming Pool (TSP) can hold three public open house days to introduce the pool toRead More perspective members. This year the dates are June 8, July 13 and August 10. The cost is $5 per person. The TSP has a big insurance policy to cover swimmers. Not sure free is appropriate. As a private membership pool, there are regulations that must be followed.

It sounds like your daughter and god daughter don't have their own phones? No matter my children's age, I make it a point to know the running times of the movies they're at, especially if I am the one who is going to be picking them up. We warn children--especially girls and young women--not to go to strangers for help. We know that of the three girls, the man kidnapped one who was his daughter's friend after giving her a lift.
