Morning drive radio host Jack Diamond—who was a friend to many Washington-area commuters for 24 years on WRQX's MIX 107.3-FM—has finally announced his new gig.

Beginning later this month, Diamond will air on Miami radio station Lite-FM Miami, 101.5-FM,  he told his fans Monday via his Facebook page. He will bring The Jack Diamond Morning Show to the morning airwaves there. He told his DC listeners that they will be able to live stream the show and noted: "...yes you will be able to listen in the car!!"

The station is owned by Lincoln Financial Media. You can listen to shows via the station's website and download the show's app to listen in from your smart phone.

Diamond was dropped by Atlanta-based Cumulus Media for a syndicated radio program, The Bert Show. Since adding 107.3-FM to their roster, it's been mostly a harsh welcome for The Bert Show to the DC area. The move by Cumulus saw a big ratings drop for the D.C. station.

Fans of The Jack Diamond Show stayed in touch with Diamond over the long summer via Facebook — commenting on his photos and cross-country road trip, whether it was giving him a thumbs up for his photo of a frozen-in-time gas station or offering encouragement in trying to finish off a Texas-sized steak in the Lone Star State.

Always sprinkled among the comments: "When are you coming back to radio?"

Diamond will begin airing his show with co-host Julie Guy for the Miami station starting at the end of the month, he said. No word on whether Diamond will make the move to Florida or host from the D.C. area.
