It’s Thursday. The weekend is so close you can almost taste it. The downside? You’ve got no idea what to do during your two days of freedom.

Patch is coming to the rescue. We've picked out some of the best events around Montgomery County and the national capital region for your done-work-outta-here time. Is it 5 p.m. on Friday yet?

Where/When: , 10701 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda. Friday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: There'll be a $2 PBR happy hour from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. before the show—16 ounces of beer! This Friday, the Mansion at Strathmore hosts The Funk Art, a group whose style "style incorporates African and Latin funk/dance music scenes of the 1960s and 70s."

Pricing: $10 in advance, $12 at the door.

Where/When: Lake Marion Community Center, 8821 E Village Ave., Montgomery Village. Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: If you have babies on the brain, this is the event for you. At the 17th annual baby bazaar, vendors will be selling clothes, furniture, toys and all things baby.

Pricing: Free admission.

Where/When: Dulles Expo Center, 4320 Chantilly Shopping Center Dr, Chantilly, Va. Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, 9 a.m to 6 p.m.

Why Go: According to the event's Web site, "Our show offers a unique and broad selection of home improvement-related businesses. You'll enjoy various entertaining features and special guest speakers. Get ideas, investigate new products, gather information and meet the professionals to help you make your next remodeling, renovation, or decorating project a breeze!"

Pricing: Adults, $13.00; Children 6 to 12 years old: $3.00. Ages 5 and under are free.

4. An Evening with Bon Jovi

Where/When: Verizon Center, 601 F St., NW, Washington. Sunday, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: "Livin' on a Prayer," "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "You Give Love a Bad Name" are just a few reasons why this concert is you won't want to miss.

Pricing: $19.50-$149.50

Where/When: , 13032 Middlebrook Rd, Germantown. 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Why Go: What better way to unwind at the end of a long work week than a few rounds of pool? Even better, it's free until 5 p.m.
