Village at Rockville Hosts Pulitzer Prize Winner Russell Baker
On Friday, March 23, 2012, The Village at Rockville (TVAR) will host Pulitzer Prize winning author Russell Baker, to conduct a book signing and discussion of his autobiography, Growing Up, which describes his childhood living in rural Virginia. Baker is known for his satirical commentary, self-critical prose and winning the Pulitzer Prize twice—once for Growing Up and the other for his nationally syndicated “Observer” column for the New York Times.
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to have their books signed by the author, hear excerpts read aloud from Growing Up and learn more about Baker through a Q&A time.
