Richard Montgomery High School - SPRING CONCERT

The Annual Spring Choral concert features the Concert Choir, Treble Chorale, Madrigals, Lunch Choir, and student-run a cappella groups Resonance (females) and TestosterTONES (male!). As in all RM concerts, a wide variety of music is performed ranging from a medley from “Phantom of the Opera”, folk songs from around the world (including one sung in Japanese, another in German), an “Ave Maria” by Giuseppe Verdi. The performance concludes with “The Heavens Are Telling” by Haydn when any alumni in the audience are invited to the stage to sing!.

Concert is free and open to the public, but donations of dried or canned food are asked for the needy (distributed in the community by Manna Food Center.)

2012 marks the 120th anniversary of Richard Montgomery High School and music has been a part of its curriculum for much of that time. The present vocal director, Ron Frezzo, has been at RM for 27 years and taken groups to perform around our country, around the world, and most importantly around the Rockville/Montgomery County community.Mr. Frezzo strongly believes and advocates on the benefits of music education.
