Opening Reception: “Tradition and Innovation” at VisArts

VisArts at Rockville presents an exhibition featuring traditional and contemporary Chinese calligraphy and paintings by members of The Harmonious Art Group. An Opening Reception on Saturday, November 5 from 1-3 p.m. will feature artists’ demonstrations.

Creations by fifteen artists will be on display, including works by Bertrand Mao, a master of Chinese Shan-Shui (Mountain-Water) painting who is a Resident Artist at VisArts, and John Wang, a master of Chinese calligraphy who teaches at the Freer and Sackler Galleries of the Smithsonian Institution.
