HearArts Spoken Word & Music Series

The monthly HearArts series at in Rockville Town Square features artists reading original poetry or other written compositions, musical performances and an open mic.

This Thursday's showcase will feature a poetry reading by Stanley Plumly from his most recent collection of poems, Old Heart (Norton, 2007) which won the Los Angeles Times Book Prize and the Paterson Poetry Prize. Also, music will be performed by the Washington Metropolitan Accordion Society.

The event is free and open to the public.
