"2012 Congressional Art Competition Juried Show"

Showcasing the talents of young artists, this annual juried exhibition features original two-dimensional works in various media created by high school students in Maryland’s Eighth Congressional District. The winning entry will be displayed for one year in the United States Capitol, alongside artwork from congressional districts across the country. Highlighting the importance of art education, the competition and exhibition are sponsored by Congressman Chris Van Hollen.
