Washington Post: ICC Toll Revenue Falls Short of Early Forecasts

Revenue aligns with state forecasts but are 'between $10 million to $32 million" less than 2005 projections, The Washington Post reports.

Toll revenue on the Intercounty Connector hit state projections, but only because those were projections were adjusted downward, The Washington Post reports, citing internal state records.

According to The Post article, the $39.6 million the ICC brought in last year was “almost dead-on” it’s latest projection but was “between $10 million to $32 million” less than the projections state lawmakers had in 2005.

Gaithersburg is the terminus for the ICC (MD-200), an east-west highway that connects Montgomery and Prince George's counties. The ICC opened in 2011 and is Maryland's first all-electronic toll road.
