Looking to kill a few minutes at work? Here is Patch's weekly round-up of must-see Internet destinations picked for Montgomery County residents.

  • O.A.R., the band from Rockville, is coming to Merriweather Post Pavilion on Aug. 13 and TicketFly has tickets. Also, check out the Merriweather Post Pavilion's website for a full list of upcoming performers, including Steely Dan and Death Cab for Cutie.
  • Thinking of taking advantage of the deals at the closing Borders? Silver Spring Singular argues that they may not be as good as you think.
  • We linked to a Greater Greater Washington op/ed not long ago about the proposed Montgomery County curfew. Now a new article, posted both at GGW and Just Up The Pike, has been posted, listing the outgoing Borders in Silver Spring as an example of an establishment that stays open late and attracts young people.
  • The Bethesda Lutheran Brethren Church has started up a feature on its new YouTube channel called Bethesda Minute, which gives a concise, weekly look at some of the events going on in the area.
