Gina Hagler, a freelance writer and Rockville resident, brings a writer's perspective to school issues, parenting and life in  her weekly column, From My Corner. She has three kids, ages 10, 14 and 20, and teaches writing to kids through her KidWrite program.

Mei-June Lee is the owner of a Chinese tutoring studio, is a Chinese linguist associate with Multilingual Solutions and is a Rockville resident. She came to the United States from Taiwan at age 24 for her MBA. She has three kids, ages 5, 10 and 11.

Goli Kaviani was born in Iran, immigrated to Canada at age 13 and moved to the U.S. at 26. She has degrees in biology, psychology and computers and sciences and completed two-thirds of a mathematics degree before getting married in 1998. She quit her job when she was 7 months pregnant and is now a photographer with a 9-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son. She lives in Potomac.

Cindy Singman is a former meetings and event planner who now works as a substitute teacher in pre-schools where she also teaches a pre-school cooking class. Born in Hawaii, she moved around until settling in New Jersey and, after getting married, in Maryland. She has two daughters, ages 10 and 13. She lives in Rockville.

Moms Council member Gina Hagler's latest column discusses the book "What I Wish I Knew When I Was 20," by Tina Seelig. Gina writes that it brought to mind some of the things she wished she knew before she became a mom.
