Free Child Safety Seat Inspection

Visit Fitzgerald Auto Mall on Nicholson Lane for a free check and proper installation of child safety seats. Inspections will be provided by nationally-certified car seat technicians from Fitzgerald’s staff, Fire & Rescue personnel, and police.

Under Maryland law every child under eight years old must be secured in a federally-approved and correctly used child restraint system (child safety seat or booster seat) when riding in a motor vehicle, unless the child is 4’9” of taller, or weighs more than 65 pounds.  All vehicle passengers under the age of 16 must be restrained by a seat belt.
