Child Safety Seat Inspection

Car seat technicians from Fitzgerald’s staff, Fire & Rescue
personnel, and police will provide a free check of the condition and proper installation of child safety seats.

Every child under eight years old must be secured in a
federally-approved and correctly used child restraint system (child safety seat or booster seat) when riding in a motor vehicle, unless the child is 4’9” or taller, or weighs more than 65 pounds. All vehicle passengers under the age of 16 must
be restrained by a seat belt.
