Councilwoman Re-Elected President of County MML Chapter

Councilwoman Bridget Donnell Newton has been a board member of the Maryland Municipal League's Montgomery County chapter since 2011.

Rockville City Councilwoman Bridget Donnell Newton was re-elected as president of the Maryland Municipal League’s Montgomery County Chapter and will serve as the district 5 vice president, city officials announced Wednesay.

Newton has been a board member of the Montgomery County chapter since May, 2011 and is currently serving her third term on the MML legislative committee.

Her term as chapter president ends May 2014.

Newton was elected to the City Council in 2009.

The MML is a nonprofit and nonpartisan association that represents 157 municipalities and two special taxing districts in Maryland. The group’s mission is to support municipal government through advocacy and leadership development.
