· One in ten people, or over 25 million Americans, have been diagnosed with diabetes and 1.9 million new cases are being diagnosed every year.

· One in three children born since 2000 will develop diabetes in their lifetime if current trends continue.

All La Tasca area restaurants will donate 20% of proceeds during November when diners order Esparragos (grilled asparagus) or their amazing Brocheta de Pollo (grilled chicken skewers).  By dining at La Tasca and contributing to the American Diabetes Association, we can eat well AND help raise funds for diabetes research programs.

The risk of Type 2 diabetes can be significantly reduced with a commitment to a healthy diet, no smoking, exercise and regular doctor visits. This is something we want to teach our children – diabetes is not inevitable, but you must take steps to stop diabetes.

Come out to the Rockville La Tasca restaurant from November 1-30 and enjoy some of the best -- and healthiest -- Spanish food in the area while donating to a great cause.
