100 Free Cat Spay/Neuters & Low Cost Dog Spay/Neuters Available from the Welfare League of Montgomery County

Right now, the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County (AWLMC) is issuing 100 “FREE cat spay/neuter certificates” to cat owners who are unable to afford to get their cats altered. August is the primary month that cats go into heat and get pregnant. Many pet owners find it hard to pay their vet for this procedure. Therefore, they end up with more pets than they can afford to keep, and give them up to the county shelter. The “Beat the Heat” campaign is designed to help pet owners take better care of their pets.

If you believe you might qualify for a free spay/neuter certificate for your cat, visit our website to complete your application; dog certificates are available at a low cost of $100 for dogs under 60 pounds.  Visit us at 12 Park Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20877 or www.awlmc.org to learn more or email us at info@awlmc.org
