School news | Montgomery County educator is ‘Most Hopeful Teacher in America’
Mary Hawkins-Jones, of Westover Elementary School in Silver Spring, received inaugural award. The honor was bestowed by Gallup and Atria Books in Washington, DC on Wednesday. In a statement released by MCPS, Hawkins Jones said: “You can have a big impact on students by giving them a little hope.”
