 e coming up green in more ways than one. With recent tax credits and gra
 nts from the government\, along with companies like Solar Energy World m
 aking equipment more affordable and readily available\, now is most defi
 nitely the time for homeowners to go green and save some green. Maryland
  in particular is experiencing a rapid expansion with installations of g
 reen energy solutions growing by 69% in 2011. State lawmakers have set a
  goal of getting 20% of the state&rsquo\;s power from renewable sources\
 , and at least 2% of that from solar energy\, all by 2022Next month\, So
 lar Energy World is hosting a free workshop for families and homeowners 
 at their Maryland headquarters in Elkridge. There\, homeowners will lear
 n about solar energy\, how it can be incorporated in their homes\, and w
 hat the costs and incentives are to going solar. While the adults are le
 arning about the solar energy\, children will have the opportunity to le
