Kick-off adoption event for the MCHS Home Run Adoption Challenge, featuring adoption specials and festivities. Patrons will enjoy food, music, and baseball-themed activities to celebrate new homes for every adopted cat and dog.
With support from Newman’s Own Foundation, adoption fees will be waived Aug. 3-4-5 except for the County license fee required for Montgomery County residents.
Shelter hours will be extended as follows:
Friday, August 3 Noon -7pm
Saturday, August 4 11am -7pm
Sunday, August 5 11am - 5pm

Montgomery County Animal Shelter
The Montgomery County Humane Society in Rockville, MD is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that has provided animal sheltering services to Montgomery County since 1958. MCHS receives funds to operate the Montgomery County Animal Shelter under a grant from the Montgomery County Government and from private donations.
The Humane Society is supported by private fundraising including United Way and other workplace giving campaigns.
