DESCRIPTION:Artists John Adams and Elena Volkova will speak about their w
 ork on view in the &ldquo\;_______scape&rdquo\; exhibit at VisArts which
  runs through August 10th. In his &ldquo\;Sitescapes\,&rdquo\; the trans
 itory and impermanent inform John M. Adams&rsquo\; site-specific drawing
  that wraps around a wall and dives into a corner. Within sight of the d
 rawing\, his small horizontal painting floats on the wall. Attention tra
 vels between evidence of the hand marking the surface to the vast range 
 of associations those marks conjure. Elena Volkova&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;Airs
 capes&rdquo\; waver between image and nothingness. Attention shifts betw
 een the barely perceptible photographs of sky and air and the vast expan
 se of paper they are printed on.&nbsp\; Without any horizon in sight and
  just the faintest whisper of an image\, space has no boundaries.
