Thanksgiving Closures in Rockville
Many City of Rockville and Montgomery County facilities will be closed Thursday and on modified schedules on Friday.
Most city and county facilities will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday.
All City of Rockville facilities will be closed and no programs will operate.
Many city facilities and programs will remain closed or operate on a limited schedule on Friday. City Hall will be closed on Friday.
Other city facilities will be open with limited hours on Friday:
- Lincoln Park Community Center open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Thomas Farm Community Center open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Twinbrook Community Center open 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Rockville Swim and Fitness Center open 6 a.m.-9 p.m. The South Pool will be closed.
- Croydon Creek Nature Center open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Recycling and refuse collection will shift forward one day. Thursday collection will be made on Friday. Friday collection will be made on Saturday. Call 240-314-8568 for questions about collections.

In unincorporated parts of Rockville the following facilities will be closed on Thanksgiving Day only:
- Montgomery County government offices
- County libraries
- County liquor stores
- State offices and courts
- Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station
Other county, state and regional facilities and services are running on modified schedules on Thursday:
TRiPS Commuter Stores near Silver Spring and Friendship Heights Metro stations are closed.
County schools and Montgomery County Public School administrative offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.
There will be no county recycling and trash on Thursday. Thursday and Friday collections will shift by one day with the last collection of the week on Saturday. The Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station will be closed Thursday but will open for normal hours on Friday.
Parking will be free at county public garages, lots and curbside meters on Thanksgiving Day.
