Students at a Rockville middle school and a Gaithersburg high school were recently arrested for underage drinking, according to a report by WUSA9.
The 14- and 15-year-old girls are students at Rockville's Robert Frost Middle School and Gaithersburg's Quince Orchard High School, according to the report. The girls told police they were playing spin the bottle as a drinking game.
The girls were joined by an 18-year-old boy who was cited for underage alcohol possession and released.
One 14-year-old's BAC was recorded at 0.17, more than twice the legal limit. Two of the girls were not drinking, but received alcohol citations for constructive possession, which, according to the report, "means they were so close to the illegal activity, they clearly knew it was happening and could have easily been participating themselves."
