Matchbox is a match for Mother’s Day brunch.

That’s what readers told us in the latest Readers’ Choice. Rockville Patch readers said Matchbox, on Rockville Pike, is their go-to place when taking Mom out for brunch on Mother’s Day, which is Sunday.

The relative newcomer to Congressional Plaza beat out four other Rockville restaurants. Clyde’s Tower Oaks Lodge also received a vote.

Matchbox has a new brunch menu, which appears on the Web site for its Rockville location. The restaurant, which gained popularity at its Chinatown location in DC before moving to the suburbs, will offer a brunch special on Sunday.

“We’re pretty fully booked for Mother’s Day,” said manager Steve Hesson.

Brunch is served 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

While reservations are recommended for most weekend brunches, “we always take walk-ins,” Hesson said.
