More than 150 skaters took to the ice this weekend at the Cabin John Ice Rink to compete in the 2012 Adult Eastern Figure Skating Sectional Championships.
Hosted by Washington Figure Skating Club, skaters competed in 40 different events as part of the annual qualifying competition for the U.S. Adult Figure Skating Championships.
While many of the skaters were local, the competition drew on skating clubs from 16 different states -- some traveled from as far away as Florida and California to compete in the event.
