The predictions are varying widely, so we want to know what you think.

The snowstorm that's been dubbed the "snowquester" could bring anywhere from rain and sleet to more than 10 inches of snow to Bethesda beginning Tuesday evening, according to local weather reports.

Inside the Beltway, The Washington Post's "Capital Weather Gang" blog is predicting an 80 percent chance of one or more inches of snow, a 50 percent chance of five or more inches of snow, and a 25 percent chance of 10 or more inches.

But to suburbs just north and west, like Gaithersburg, the predictions are higher. There, chances of five or more inches are 80 percent and the odds of 10 or more inches of snow are as high as 50 percent, according to the report.

The bad news is that the potential snowfall in the region could be heavy and wet, leading to power outages. Gusty winds could also down lines.

Of course, weather predictions aren't an exact science, and forecasters say that several factors -- including temperature -- will affect snowfall amounts. There is a potential for a "bust" in the immediate DC region if it's too warm for snow to accumulate, according to the report.
