The U.S. Supreme Court made a controversial decision to uphold the individual mandate that requires the purchase of insurance as a tax. The ruling was made Thursday morning, June 28, in a split decision that will allow Obama's Affordable Care Act to move forward and provide health care to millions of people. Takoma Park resident Katherine Gibney; Washington, DC, resident Gretchen VanFossan and Rockville resident Todd Breach shared their thoughts and opinions on the decision.

The Democrats must either fess up to being the party responsible for a huge tax increase on the middle class or vote against its repeal.

Obamacare wouldn't have gotten 10 votes in the Senate if it had been called a tax in the first place.
