Leggett Goes Live Online on Wednesday

County executive will host 'Virtual Town Hall Meeting' from 1 to 2 p.m.

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett will hold his latest “Virtual Town Hall Meeting” from 1 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday.

Residents may submit their questions to Leggett before or during the online discussion by clicking here.

During his last virtual town hall on March 15, Leggett answered 17 questions about pay raises for county employees, county police practices, panhandling, library cleanliness, school funding and even his pick to win the NCAA men's basketball tournament. (For the record, don't go to the county executive for advice in filling out your brackets next year. He took Michigan State to win it all this year. The Spartans bowed out to Louisville in the Sweet 16.)

Leggett has held the online chats every two to four months since taking office in December 2006.

For more information, call the county's Office of Public Information at 240-777-6507.

Leggett is a jackass, who cares what he has to say. He snubbed ALL MoCo Taxpayers when he got in office by building the centers for illegals on the taxpayers dime and NOW he wants to charge taxpayers for services that should be free to taxpayers and give free services to NON (legal) taxpayers. He (along with all the idiots on the council) have it BASS-Ackwards...they ALL need to go.

BTW, ask him how much of taxpayers dollars go to illegal immigrants in MoCo. The state gives over $2Billion to illegals, but MoCo won't give the number out. No "transparancy" at all...everything is done how they want to do it, not how those who put them in office want things done.

I will send in my question to Ike, although I wish we could have a real life forum with him because I am afraid he will pick and choose which questions he answers. I have been appalled by the way he has handled the Brickyard issue. He has appropriated land for private soccer development at the expense of a 32 year old organic farm (and proposed agro-education center) on public school board land. The private soccer organization, MSI will be paying $1300 per year, yes that is right, $1300 a year to lease and develop a 20-acre (10 football fields) organic farm into soccer fields in Potomac, MD. That is the same amount the current farmer is paying to lease this same land. Then what is in it for Ike? Why is he ignoring the overwhelming community opposition to this development, destroying an organic seed breeding farm for the 504th and 505th soccer field in Montgomery County when the county readily admits there is no local need for soccer fields in Potomac. Why can't MSI choose two existing fields to improve that are geographically closer to the existing need for soccer fields. It is impossible for this farm to relocate as it has been building its organic soil for the past 32 years, and it geographically isolated from genetically modified crops that could contaminate the organic seed. If anyone reading this would like to help promote the new proposed educational farm, or has any questions feel free to contact sophia@BrickyardEducationalFarm.org

@ Sophia

I would be shocked if "Ike" chooses your question to answer. He most likely will take (2) questions and spend 1/2 hour answering each one. Let us know if he does?

You want to know what is in it for Leggett...He is such a scumbag that he will put aside the REAL taxpayers wishes in MoCo and cater to the illegals coming here and living off of us and he gets their votes. MoCo (with the help of Casa of MD has been feeding illegals through to get registered to vote in MD and he (and all the other dems on the MoCocouncil and in the state) is giving stuff like free education, medical, housing, now wanting to reduce the price of college for them and other services while taking from us who pay the taxes. I could go on, and if you are smart enough, you will get what I am saying here and it is ALL true. Also, if you don't believe me, look at the link between (google, gustavo torres the militant) and you will see what type of person and group those running this county are catering to.

@B Allen: I would hope that we could express our political views without the name calling, which only detracts from the points you are trying to make about Mr. Leggett's policies. No matter what you think of his politics, the man was elected (twice) as our county executive. If that's not deserving of enough respect to avoid name calling, then the fact that he is a Vietnam War veteran should earn him that courtesy. And if that doesn't do it for you, then let me remind you of our Terms of Use: http://rockville.patch.com/terms
