Get Out: Patch's Pick-and-Choose Weekend Planner
Need a few ideas to get your weekend going? Look no further.
It’s Thursday. The weekend is so close you can almost taste it. Downside? You’ve got no idea what to do during your two days of freedom.
Patch is coming to the rescue. We've picked out some of the best events around Montgomery County and in D.C. for your done-work-outta-here time. Is it 5 p.m. on Friday yet?
Where/When: Seneca Valley High School, 19401 Crystal Rock Dr, Germantown. Friday and Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
Why Go: We'll let the event listing say it: "'Once On This Island' was nominated for eight Tony Awards, including 'Best Musical,' when it opened on Broadway in 1991. This fairy tale features fun Caribbean music and a message that true love will conquer any challenges. Check out our website at http://svhsdrama.yolasite.com/ for more information and for links to online ticketing."

Where/When: Twinbrook Library, 202 Meadow Hall Dr., Rockville. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go: Is your thumb a lighter shade of green—or maybe not green at all? Don't worry, the master gardeners at Twinbrook Library will be on hand to get your spring planting off on the right footing.
Where/When: 401 F St NW, Washington. Throughout the weekend, starting at 9 a.m. daily.
