Damascus Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Rockville
Kyle A. Duppins has been charged with attempted murder, assault and armed robbery.
Rockville City Police arrested a 26-year-old Damascus man on Sunday after responding to a call for a burglary in progress at the Red Roof Inn.
Kyle A. Duppins, of 9800 block of Bethesda Church Road, Damascus, has been charged with attempted murder, two counts of first degree assault, one count of armed robbery and one count of reckless endangerment.
Police say Duppins robbed and stabbed a victim at the Red Roof Inn on Sunday. He was found in the parking lot and identified by the victim as the assailant. Duppins had a "hunting type knife covered in what appeared to be blood," a statement released by police said.
Duppins is currently being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center without bail.
