County Housing Prices Rise Almost 12 Percent

Housing prices rose across the D.C. region.

Montgomery County led counties in the D.C. region in housing price increase over the last year, The Washington Examiner reported.

Housing prices in May rose 11.7 percent from the same time last year and are up 5.7 percent year-to-date from last year, a Metropoitan Regional Information Systems report showed.

Neighboring Prince George's County didn't fare quite as well, but still showed an increase. Housing prices rose 7.3 percent from May of last year and 2.4 percent year-to-date from last year.

Prices are up 11 percent across the D.C. region from the same time last year, which includes a 66.7 percent jump in Falls Church City, and up 7.7 percent year-to-date from last year, according to the report.
