Burglaries and a Robbery Top Rockville City Police Reports
Arrests and incidents for the week ending July 2.
The following is compiled from crime summaries provided by the Rockville City Police Department. Arrests do not imply guilt.
600 block of Hungerford Drive: A 49-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct between 8:34 and 9:30 a.m. on June 27.
Beall Avenue and North Van Buren Street: A 24-year-old man was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle between 2:00 and 3:37 a.m. on June 28.
500 block of Rutgers Street: The complainant reported that while he was out of town, an unknown subject removed jewelry from his apartment between noon on June 4 and noon on June 21.
400 block of Grand Champion Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a Weed Eater, a hedge trimmer and a bicycle from a garage that was possibly left unsecured between noon on June 15 and 4:30 p.m. on June 23.
1200 block of Brooke Drive: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a laptop and a briefcase from a vehicle that was possibly left unlocked between 10 p.m. on June 24 and 9:25 a.m. on June 25.
100 block of Monroe Street: The complainant reported that an unknown subject gained access by pulling a screen from an open window, reached inside the residence and removed a purse from atop a dresser between 5 and 8:15 a.m.
5800 block of Vandegrift Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed a bag containing clothing, a wallet, U.S. currency, and prescription medication that was in an unsecured vehicle between 9:40 and 10 p.m. on June 26.
400 block of King Farm Boulevard: The complainant reported that an unknown subject removed her walker, which she had inadvertently left unattended in a parking lot between 11:30 a.m. and noon on June 26.
800 block of Reading Avenue: An unknown subject gained access through an unlocked side window of a home between 12:44 and 1:35 p.m. on June 28. The subject removed a desktop computer, two guitars and a laptop.
Suspect description: A white or Hispanic male, 5 foot 7 inches or 5 foot 8 inches, with medium length black hair and dark skin tone. Last seen wearing black pants and a black T-shirt.
Suspect vehicle description: A red or orange two-door vehicle with lots of rust and louvers or slats on the rear window.
300 block of Grandin Avenue: An unknown subject or subjects gained access through an unsecured garage between 3:20 and 3:21 p.m. on June 28. The subject removed a bicycle.
- A black male, 10 to 12 years old, with black hair, light skin tone and a thin build. Last seen wearing a white short-sleeve shirt and light green knee-length shorts.
- A while male, 10-12 years old. Last seen wearing blue shorts and a gray shirt.
Unit block of Maryland Avenue: The complainant reported that an unknown subject followed him between 4:03 and 4:40 p.m. on June 29. The subject then approached the complainant, took his cell phone and fled.
Suspect description: A white or Hispanic male, 15 to 16 years old, with short hair and medium skin tone. Last seen wearing a white V-neck T-shirt, baggy dark green athletic shorts and gray New Balance sneakers.
1300 block of Piccard Drive: The complainant reported that while he was away, an unknown subject entered his hotel room and removed his laptop between 11:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. on July 1.
1100 block of Rockville Pike: An unknown subject attempted to gain access by breaking a glass garage door bay window at a business at 1:15 a.m. on July 2. Nothing was reported taken.
